The Humorului Monastery is an extraordinarily beautiful historical monument, built in 1530, currently included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.
The Agapia Monastery is the largest nunnery in Romania and is considered an ancient hearth of faith, culture and art, historically attested in 1437. In 1858, the painter Nicolae Grigorescu repainted the interior of the main monastery, thus offering a priceless artistic gem. Currently, parts of the paintings were restaurants and can be admired by tourists visiting the settlement.
Varatec Monastery is one of the largest and most visited monasteries in Bukovina. Historically attested in 1781, the monastic settlement is still today a religious, cultural and artistic landmark, housing valuable museum collections of religious art, artisanal works and handicrafts.
Neamt Monastery is considered the “Jerusalem of Romanian Orthodoxy”, being the largest and oldest monastic settlement in Moldova. The monastery was documented in 1405, and the church inside the monastic settlement was founded by voivode Stefan the Great.
The Voronet Monastery is nicknamed the “Sistine Chapel of the East” and is located 4 kilometers from Gura Humorului. The monastery church was founded by the voivode Stefan the Great and Saint and was built in 1455 in just 3 months and 3 weeks. Due to its impressive paintings, the monastery was included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.
Putna Monastery is one of the most important Romanian cultural, religious and artistic centers. It was nicknamed the “Jerusalem of the Romanian Nation” by Mihai Eminescu. The monastery was founded by Stefan the Great, and its construction began in 1466.
The Sucevita Monastery was built in 1583 and is an important historical monument of our country. The interior and exterior mural painting is of inestimable value, so the monastery was included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage.
The Moldovite Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in the north of Moldova and stands out for its unique architecture, specific to Moldavian monasteries. In 1993, the monastery was included in the list of protected monuments from the UNESCO world cultural heritage.
We will have the joy of visiting one of the clay workshops in Marginea, the only place in Romania and even in Europe where black ceramics are produced. The technique by which the black ceramic is obtained is a secret of the artisans in the area, and we have the opportunity to see them at work in one of the workshops that are still operating today, respecting the manual work technique.
The Bicazului Gorges are considered the most beautiful gorges with tourist access in Romania. Along them, the road will take you between the rocky walls of the mountain through an extraordinarily beautiful, unique and special landscape.
Red Lake is a natural lake formed after the collapse of a mountain slope. The name is given by its unique color provided by the presence of iron oxide. The area is picturesque, quiet and full of positive energy.

Detailed program by day:
The stay will be organized between 10.08-13.08.2023
Day 1 – 10.08.2023
The departure will take place on 10.08.2023, at 07:00, in front of the CFR Constanta train station, with the destination Gura Humorului. We will stop to have a meal at the rest stop in Adjud, after which we will continue the road to Gura Humorului where we will visit the Humor monastery.
Day 2 – 11.08.2023
Breakfast. We were leaving from the Mouth of Humor towards Targu Neamt. On this day we will visit Agapia, Varatec, Neam and Voronet monasteries.
Day 3 – 12.08.2023
Breakfast. We will do the route starting from Gura Humorului to Marginea, Putna and back to Gura Humorului. As tourist objectives to visit on this route, there will be Sucevita monastery, Moldovita,
the clay workshop in Marginea and the Putna monastery.
Day 4 – 13.08.2023
Breakfast. On the way to Constanta, we will visit the Bicazului Gorge and the Red Lake.
